Correct. The amount paid for the product that was delivered is a joke. We didn't get the height, nor the LED lights, that was part of the approved plan. The artist decided to change the height because the longer poles were deemed too expensive (by the artist) and installation would have been even more expensive. He nixed the LED lighting because he decided he no longer liked it. And then, wouldn't even allow a description to placed anywhere nearby for people to know what it is

But yeah, the most expensive arts project in the history of Nashville is: stix

Yeah...it ended up being a bunch of painted telephone poles (and weren't the poles shipped here and painted by several people right before being installed?).  And then...to top it off...what the heck is growing up around the poles?  It's as if they stuck the poles in the ground, planted grass and just let it go without mowing or upkeep.  Really a failed attempt at something that could have been much, much better.

I’ve inspected them and the plantings are a mix of native grasses, miscanthus, pennisetum, little bluestem and wildflowers.   The look is intentional,  I think. intended to evoke the prairie.     Not intended to be mowed.     However, this is Tennessee and we all know what happens to an untended garden here -  thistle, milkweed, dandelion, goldenrod.      In the right setting, there is incredible natural beauty in that also (see the photos of Stones River Bend Park on the other thread), but for a tiny urban roundabout, it can quickly start to look “messy”.    You’re going to need to weed out the invaders on a regular basis.

Plus the downtown-facing units already have the premium views. 
Having the pool as a point of interest for the non-premium side helps to market those units.
