As our Knights play the final War On I-4 tomorrow, a little reminder from Bianchi last year about how revenge is a dish best served cold:

George O’Leary on USF getting left behind by Big 12-bound UCF: ‘You get what you deserve’

For those that keep insisting the newbies (BYU, Cincy, UCF and UH) aren’t good enough for the Power 5, a little more evidence you got it wrong.

The Big XII is arguably the strongest MBB conference these days, and Houston (assuming they beat Kent State this weekend) will be #1 in the upcoming AP poll. It sure looks like they’ll fit right in, ya think?

We’re not doing too shabby so far, either, at 5-1 and MBB’s long been a weak spot for us.

The times, they are a changin’…

Charge On!

Meanwhile, FAU has fired Willie Taggart after an OT loss to WKU’s Hilltoppers.

That’s two head coach openings just a hoot and a holler down the road, @jrs2. Are you available?

isn't WKU the team where they have the video of their HC (back in the Meyer era) circling a defenseless Gator helmet with a sledge hammer?

Who knew? Now it looks like Georgia Tech’s interim HC, Brent Key, may get the job permanently.

Brent, of course, was one of the prime architects of UCF’s infamous 0-11 season in 2015 as George O’Leary’s protege after he was kicked upstairs to AD. It’s all a tad incestuous because Coach O was the former head coach at Tech and Brent was a player there.

Can this get the Ramblin’ Wreck out of their perpetual hole? I’m skeptical but I’ve certainly been wrong before. GT has a number of structural impediments that make it a tough spot to coach, but maybe this time will work.

They did indeed. Those of us on Team Mikey are stepping away from Gus’ disaster for a bit. But hey, we’ve got a great basketball team!

well, the Gayterz got a situation of sorts...  AR may go pro...before the bowl...and Miller III may still not be healthy.  Kitna got into trouble and was released from the team.  So now, you've got Max Brown (FR)  I think and Kyle Engel who's been there for a minute, that may know the offense pretty well, for the bowl against Oregon State.  I think the cheer for the game will be "Way to go, Gators, pound those Beavers!"  or "Pound those Beavers hard, Gators!"  Imagine if it was SOuth Carolina playing Oregon State...

UCF TE Alec Holler to return for sixth season in 2023: “I love this place”

Yep, he’s from the FFO Hollers but he’s been a UCF supporter most of his life without the attitude one might imagine from one of the region’s wealthiest and most influential families (in addition to all the dealerships, the Hollers have also controlled much of the real estate along Park Ave over the years).

Glad we’re keeping the local lad along with his younger brother Max.

”Save Dollars At Hollers!”

Both of our hoops teams took on the SEC tonight.

The men took out Ole Miss and improved to 8-2. MBB is now 2nd in the American, although it’s just OOC play so far. Nevertheless, being right behind Houston, ranked #5 in the polls, is pretty amazing for us.

Sadly, the women were obliterated by Tennessee and dropped to 6-3.

Charge On!

“Congrats to former UCF QB @Cocoa_Schneider whose Cocoa Tigers won the state 2S state title last night beating previously unbeaten FSU High 38-31.”

Also, OC Chip Lindsey is off to Chapel Hill. No word on a replacement yet.
