520 Church St. | 12-Story Residential [Under Construction]

Is that a new rendering?

Meanwhile, I really hope the construction quality of 520 is better than 420. I'm only there now due to having a decent rate for the area and not wanting to leave the area. My apartment however is riddled with lazy construction errors. There's been leaks in my windows. I can hear my upstairs neighbors like they are in my apartment. Doors break, things get clogged. I don't know if it's my unit and I got unlucky or it's the whole place.

I put "under construction" because apparently construction is going to start next month, and didn't think this forum allowed people to edit thread titles. So I put "under construction" because I thought only a mod would have been able to change the title later. I'll change it to approved.

Isn’t the definition of “high rise”. 12 or more stories?  I thought I read that somewhere back in the ‘80’s.

I always thought it was in the 10 - 12 story range, but...

  • In the U.S., the National Fire Protection Association defines a high-rise as being higher than 75 feet (23 meters), or about 7 stories.
  • Most building engineers, inspectors, architects and similar professionals define a high-rise as a building that is at least 75 feet (23 m) tall.
