91 Red River Residential | 369' | 30-Stories | Site Demo

Recommended Posts

Here's another brand new 30-story story proposal to add to the ridiculously long list of tower proposals.  It's described as a 30-story residential project with retail in city documents.  The site is owned by prolific local developer Endeavor who builds quality projects.  The site is located in the  Rainey St. Entertainment Distric.  On one side it will be across the street from Hotel Van Zandt, and on another it will be across the street from the Container Bar.  Demo of two houses on the site was completed a while back, but there is another building on the north end of the site that will need to go.  Here's the site from Streetview:

Here's a map of the location from a city filing:

Towers sums up the info we have so far about this tower.  It's an Endeavor project, so it should be decent looking and have a good chance of getting built.

According to a city document posted online yesterday,  the planned start of construction has moved up to November 1st.  It was previously planned for sometime between July 2019 and July 2020.

The money shot renderings were already posted.  But here are some others.

The butt side (deliveries, trash pickup, etc.) will feature a mural commissioned by a local artist.

At Monday's Design Commission meeting this project got the density bonus (F.A.R. increase) needed to move forward.  One of the developers was quoted in the Austin Business Journal and said ground breaking was planned for late this year or very early in 2019.

Here's the building set for Demo.  This building takes up about half of the site.  The other half (beyond the fence at lower right) had two houses that were previously demo'ed.
