According to The Buffalo News, “Mecklenburg County in North Carolina (Charlotte’s home county) is the No.1 choice for Erie County residents moving out of state…with more than 2,000 people relocating there (between 2004 and 2010).”

And I'm sure there have been even more since 2010.

I remember seeing something that said 2% of Erie county, NY (which would be closer to 18,000), but that was the only thing I could find on the interweb.

I'm in Raleigh and I swear on my life not a day goes by where I don't see a NY plate. I've mentioned this before, but my gf is a recent NY transplant. Before her, I dated 2 other girls who were NY transplants (1 in Raleigh and 1 in Charlotte). I see people with Buffalo Bills stickers on their cars left and right.

I rarely see VA, TN, GA, SC plates here (ya know... the states you'd expect to see). They're moving down here in hordes.

Saw this on the way to work the other day. It had a North Carolina license plate. I guess they still wanted to show their Buffalo pride.

Another Link-Belt crane, crawler this time. Years ago I worked for the local distributor for Link-Belt and for that reason I still am oddly proud when I see them, though the years have flown by. Link-Belt is white and red  tail colors. Know your crane manufacturers by colors.

For those folks curious about the progress of the other FNB Tower under construction in Raleigh. Their 22-story FNB tower broke ground in May 2018 and currently looks like this. For comparison, ours is 29 stories - I believe. Raleigh's new tower is looking great!

Is that entire structure really all parking deck? I guess I never realized how massive that is. Can it be built on top of, or does it need to come down when the times comes?

It needs to come down, and I hope sooner rather than later. So much potential with Bearden, BB&T Park and BofA Stadium right nearby.

I think the Duke Energy parking deck will be redeveloped.  When that was built there was NOTHING in that area other than the new stadium, and Duke wanted the parking and it provided spaces for Panther fans on game days.  As much as some of you hate the Legacy garage that is a better use of land than this but they were built 20 plus years apart.  Times and land values have changed.   I think this garage will come down and replaced for a variety of uses.  It is owned by Duke.
