I thought this old map showing the rail line was edited into the previous post but I see now that it was not. Map is from 1911:

This explains the tiny "sidewalk" on Graham.

It's probably just the renderings but to me the windows look to have a little bit of a mirror finish. This would really stand out on that side of Uptown if the final product had a silvery/mirror appearance. Please, no more blue glass.

This and the Intercontinental/Carolina Theater may turn out to be the best towers of this cycle after 300 S. Tryon.  I like LU1 and LU2 a lot, but I think that the glass on FNB and Intercontinental will be very impressive.

This is the one project that is always getting sneaky tall on every photo update.  There aren't many ballparks (MLB or MiLB) that are surrounded, literally on all four sides, with this kind of height and proximity of towers.

Speaking of which, the Knights Stadium is now a highly valuable property, certainly more so than it was 19 years ago when the arrangement was made for the stadium The County owns half of the block containing the stadium and this would make an interesting site for a grand structure, a full block. Could that happen? Tepper and Beaver work a deal together?

Someone else may be more in-tune with what we're seeing, but I think those are prefab metal spandrel panels of some kind, not glass. Since they're on the parking levels that wouldn't surprise me.

Look closer at renderings for the design posted to the top of this very page #28 and I see this is unlikely to be glass.
