The “crown” side of it doesn’t seem as tall as the rendering. Wonder if there’s another piece yet to go on.

Has anyone seen any information on the residence units available here?  Are they supposed to be apartments or condos?  Usually by this time they would start trying to get some confirmed leases I would think.

What is the "construction site" in the 2nd to the last picture above....in the fore ground?  Is that an existing project coming out of the ground?

I think it's just staging and construction trailers for Legacy Union, specifically the Honeywell tower.

Wouldn't look into it, unless you see dump trucks, bulldozers and an excavator or two, that they're building anything.

Can anyone recall if there has been a window washer accident in Charlotte on a taller building. Winch fails, ropes slip, something that risks life, or worse?

I don’t know of any.

I’m curious what has prompted this question?
Was there a window washer accident elsewhere recently?

Photos directly above of this building show washer equipment in use. Possibly doing some other function but the men on the cable suspended scaffold made me think about it. Some posts here make me think.

I know the renderings show no screening on the south garage facing side. But I really hope they bring that mesh screening around the back. 
 

Unless they know Re-development of that deck is imminent, it’s going to look unfinished having exposed concrete at the base. Granted, won’t be viewable from many angles - but still noticeable.
 

Love this project...two tone glass, height, location, residential too. Just think that additional screening would make a huge difference!
 

I’m amazed how much we critique parking deck screening... but if it’s done right it elevates the perceived quality of an entire project. Spectrum/Lending Tree set the bar high.

The most offensive angle of the  garage for me is from Bearden Park. Something about that angle makes it look extra incomplete because everything else in the line of sight is so finished. Overall, this building is looking really great and I'm liking the front 3/4 angle from Graham & MLK. The extended glass facades at the top of the building really set it off.

I am thankful for this building.
However, I only like the view of it heading south on Graham street though. I don’t care for that L shape top residential section. I’m wondering if the top residential units will really only be occupied by local FNB employees or those who come to town on business occasionally?

I think if the L shaped portion had been 5-8 stories taller it would have drastically improved the building's proportions/appearance. However, I really like this building as-is, and love how it looks different from almost every angle. I do think it's a bit stubby looking from certain angles because the floor split occurs roughly halfway up (optically).

Thankful for the materials in the face of the Ellis. And the location couldn't be better. We need more towers away from Tryon & College.

I would say those are the most desirable apartments with the highest rents so I would say they would rent those out. if any or one is leased by FNB it would be a lesser desirable unit.  Dominion Realty Partners owns this whole building as FNB is just a tenant in it.
