Hard to get a view of FNB Tower my friend @QCxpat has not gotten but here is one complete with high tension electrical wires.  Near the Bubble

Great building and great photos.   Such a solid result on a pretty low-expectations plot of land.  The low expectations set by the Renaissance Place a long time ago.   

 

Now,  just to hope that FNB only hires skinny people since they have to walk the 1' sidewalk here!

I feel the same way about it, from far it's hard to see all the details that make it pop. fingers crossed for some cool lights on it closer to completion.

Also I think I'm going to be able to check out the views from the pool area. Will update with pictures if it happens!

It would have been nice for this tower to a small spire on this corner. I like the glass color but the design seems a little too boxy.

I think it's a gorgeous addition to Charlotte. I love the two-tone glass and presence in the area. The only thing that baffles me is the deck screening on the back.

Yes. Though if that adjacent deck is ever rebuilt... it may cover up FNB's exposed deck long term. Depends on the orientation / design of whatever hypothetically replaces the deck years from now. For the next 5+ years though, FNB will look like this.

Hey hey hey! We’ve said that one too! But another great question I have is: Will the hotel be destroyed when they destroy the parking deck?! Hopefully because it’s extremely bland with no retail space. I think a much larger hotel could replace it since there’s so much activity around there. From sporting events to all that new office space in that entire ward.
