Kane's third downtown project

Sounds like the Kane project on the Clancy and Theys office site seems to be scaled back due to some opposition.  From a subscriber article in the Triangle Biz Journal

""Plans appear to have changed for a major mixed-use development proposed for the edge of the Warehouse District in Raleigh.  Longtime Raleigh developer Clancy & Theys Construction Company submitted site plans earlier this week for a three-building development, six stories tall, at the site of the company's longtime headquarters on W. Cabarrus Street.   The request, however, appeared to run into some resistance, including the unanimous opposition of the city's Citizens Advisory Council at meetings earlier this year.  The companies pulled the request late last month.   For now, the zoning will limit development on the property to seven stories of mixed-use. ""
