Not sure if this was posted already, but came across this "Orlando Health Village Mixed Use" project on two acres by Onix Group. Potential infill on Lot 2? Dimensions and background buildings match up with the corner of Orange and Princeton, looking northeast.

As a side note, Onix Group's website looks awfully similar to the Ustler Group's website... http://ustler.net/properties.html

Looks right considering I'm assuming the building in the background is the medical office that Panera is located.

Unfortunately I believe I had seen something recently that showed OUC is expanding on their existing facility right onto the spot they're proposing.  Great concept though.

This was on Page 1 of the thread from January via Bungalower:

Begs the question: would sunrail be more successful as light rail than commuter?

For sure - If it's a commuter train then quit running it during the hours of 10-3.

It could also benefit from a few more stops closer to large apartment complexes like the proposed station would be.

This concept is in opposition to that project, saying that there is a higher and better use for the land.

I certainly like it but it’s been really hard to move OUC much once their minds are made up, especially in this part of town.

It will be interesting to watch.

Ah - I didn’t realize she ever was.   In either case, a good number of threads could use a headline update

Amen to that. Sunshine was first but then dropped out and bic was named. Then sunshine came back and bic sort of faded away (which was understandable given someone on here told me he lives in Miami).

Updated shot on Harriett's Ballet Center!

Also, was the old title of this thread more inclusive? I searched for the discussion of this project because I couldn't figure out where it was.

It was - I asked for FL Hospital to be changed to Advent but didn’t specify to keep the Loch Javen/Ivanhoe part.

I was wondering what this was! Thanks for the update.

It’s time for one of Central Florida’s most popular and beloved cultural events at Loch Haven Park, the Orlando Fringe Festival.

The Orlando Weekly has an awesome guide on just about everything and there’s also an app:

https://m.orlandoweekly.com/orlando/all-you-need-to-know-to-have-a-blast-at-orlando-fringe-festival/Content?oid=25317791&utm_source=feature&utm_medium=home&utm_campaign=hpfeatures&utm_content=HomeFeaturedStoriesCustomMobile

For our Loch Haven-phobes, it’s interesting to note that the event is growing each year and is accessible to more folks and more popular than it ever was downtown. The park’s art cluster really is a great thing.

I’ll even go all conservative for a change and note that, while there are opportunities to make it more pedestrian-friendly (yep, even a nearby SunRail stop if it ever gets weekend service), Loch Haven ain’t broke, so there’s no need to fix it.

With the Orlando Ballet getting a new facility and plenty of room for OMA to expand, plus all the trees, nearby trails and lakes, the park is definitely a feature, not a bug in our cultural firmament.

The article says 2600 block and also says across from the cancer center and also says between E. Rollins and E Winter Park... which lot is it? The 2600 block is between Rollins and Spruce. Is it the block with Advent Labs and Cindy's  Café or the next block north?

I like they are going taller along Orange and also like the use of walk up units on the street.

That's not a half bad looking shoe box. Shame they couldn't come up with something more like that, which actually suggests a little bit of creativity, at CV.

Maybe they could swap designs?
