LendingTree HQ going up fast by Spectrum Properties. This afternoon.

Probably not, all steel and a pre-fab deck.  Going up like its neighbor, Railyard.

The hotel might need one when they start that part of the project.

Deck will be pour in place. It has to support a hotel afterall

Makes sense, my bad.  Do you know if the hotel and deck are going to go up as one project, or will they open the deck and put up the hotel after?

Oh and this will come out in a story I'm working on soon, but this has been renamed "Vantage South End."

They will build the parking deck and immediately start the hotel. I think there’s a flag signed, but nothing to be shared at this time.

HAH. I like the one of the existing building. Will be better when its gone but funny right now.  If they could put camera a bit further that would be useful...

 

Plan overall looks nice.  Will be good to see some green space among the buildings.

It appears that they have taken the hotel off the top of the parking deck in those renderings.

I suspect the deck is being built to accommodate the hotel, but they don't have a definitive agreement yet.  The more space they get leased, the better hotel deal Spectrum can negotiate.

From the horses mouth, Spectrum, it'll all be built as one phase.

don't read into it, its just a site for the office, not the hotel.

I think they are still working on signing a contract. Probably around 250 feet

Tower crane going up on site.  Looks to be for the parking deck/hotel based on location.

Today drive by and from my perch.  tower crane for the garage up.  My vantage point for Vantage South End.

How much do Tower Cranes cost to rent?  I'm thinking about putting one up at my house just to add to the mix.  I know its a risk investment, but I think it will pay off in the long run.

I too got similar shots today and you can really tell how the LendingTree HQ flares out. 

and yes demo has started on the 1100 S Tryon building.  Bonus shot of the Beer garden building.

This project is flying steel frame construction.   any day it looks like the original 1100 south tryon will fall.  Today.
