My drive by photos not as good as the walk by photos above.  But here there are.  That hotel when built is going to tower over this whole project.  I might have to check in to take photos only.

New apartments a block away by Spectrum fully underway and this tower looks so good Lendingtree should be happy.

Looks like one of the cranes is coming down yet will be replaced soon with a different one. I’m guessing that replacement crane would be for the hotel?

Rumor is they are going to go on Building 2 on Spec.

It has always looked like a ship's prow looming over the sea from this angle, to me--dramatically more so in other shots I've seen. (I wish instead of [generic] Spectrum it had a nautically-evocative name...)

I would say it is because the office market right now is in upheaval (read my post in Bad News) and delaying it somewhat will give more time before completion for the market to gain its footing again.  Hotel is obvious too there is just carnage in the hotel industry here in Charlotte.  Very few business travelers and not sure when they will begin traveling again.
