yes Hayward Holdings is a major pool equipment manufacturer with plant in Clemmons and distribution center in Mocksville both between here and Winston.   This is great for Charlotte another publicly traded HQ

Probably less than 100 people but great nonetheless another HQ from a high cost higher tax state.

Update: it was 90 people expected at this office and they announced this in April but chose their location in the city now.  The tower first one is 93% leased now which is great.

Winstead the law firm relocating to Vantage Southend is shrinking its space.  Found an old Biz Journal article where they had 20,000+ sq ft in 5/3 Building at 201 N Tryon and now shrinking to 9700 sq ft at Vantage Southend.  You are seeing more and more companies shrink their office space due to Covid and work from home programs and here is another example as their leases expire.

Dram and Draught from Raleigh Durham Cary is coming is to Vantage Southend so says a post I saw today.

300 whiskeys, draft beer in 2800 sq ft. directly across from the Charlotte Beer Garden (another Raleigh import)

and of course GoodWurst will have a 2750 sq ft location there too.

Dram & Draught – Raleigh, NC Whiskey Bar Located in the Heart of Downtown Raleigh (dramanddraught.com)

LOOK for more announcements soon on the retail front.   This will have the best retail in the Upper Southend what I am calling UpSO or south Gold district  SoGo

Happens a lot. Cowfish is in North Hills and Bad Daddy is in DTR and RDU airport. I wonder when Boxcart Bar + Arcade will make the leap since they have a Greensboro location the only logical expansion next is Charlotte.

from CLT Development and this is the new home the  of Allspring Global.

#AfternoonEdition #TenantNews #GoneUnnoticed

"""@Thespectrumcos has signed Allspring Global investments, a spin-off of Wells Fargo, to a long term lease. The company will be taking the 32.227 square foot third-floor of @vantagesouthend’s West Tower.

Two days ago some news slipped through the cracks a bit, and I don’t think anyone really noticed. It was first reported by @charlotteobserver that the long rumored Allspring spinoff was complete, and that they were operating officially as a company. But buried toward the bottom of the article, past 2-3 advertisements, was some very important news, their new location. The company has chosen Vantage South End for their new home, adding another feather in the cap for what has become one of the city’s most successful development ventures.

When the first wrecking ball arrived on the corner of South Tryon and Carson Blvd in 2019, Vantage was a bit of a pioneer. This area of South End was fairly forgotten, anchored by Midnight Diner, Uptown Cabaret, and a smattering of smaller office developments built in the early 2000s. As the twin-ish (they aren’t identical) buildings began to grow, so did interest in this area, and in the @SouthEndCLT area as a whole.

Today, the area that runs along Carson and Morehead is still a bit underutilized, but I can promise you that maps, aerials and sketch plans are prominently featured in marketing decks, and board rooms of companies throughout the country. This area was begging for someone to take a chance at creating a catalyst, and The Spectrum Cos. gladly obliged.

At the beginning, Vantage positioned itself as the Gateway to South End and in a few years I think we will be saying it’s in the heart. Over the next few months, pull up a chair, grab some popcorn and watch as the rest of this are fills in, because the stretch from Mint to Kenilworth along Morehead and Carson Blvd is about to look very very different.""
