Update from JetBlue.
https://simpleflying.com/jetblue-cut-suspended-27-routes-summer-2022/amp/

Only two routes have been cut

Of the 27 routes, only two (Austin and Nashville to Cancun) aren't bookable later in the year. All the rest cease at the end of April 30 and return in October or November – if they return. It's entirely possible that some won't.

I saw this passing over me a few days ago in Hendersonville! I looked at FlightRadar24 but it didn’t even show it was there. I was so confused because it was definitely a wide body passenger aircraft, I thought briefly it looked like an Emirates 777 due to the stripes on the vertical stabilizer but these stripes were much more vertical than EK’s. Thanks for solving this mystery for me, it was baffling.

I know this isn’t directly related to BNA but what is the likelihood of this carrier (essentially it’s Norwegian 2.0) launching service to Nashville once the international terminal is finally done? They are launching service to Oslo and later on Gatwick airport in London from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando here in Florida. I doubt Oslo to Nashville has much traffic but I could see gatwick to Nashville being prime for British tourists.

It's possible, but I'd prefer a different destination versus the other main airport for London as it would compete, to some degree, with the BA flight. Obviously it wouldn't compete at the same level when it comes to business class & premium cabin, but definitely from main cabin/economy seats.

I can imagine given the near collapse of Norwegian that they'll be a bit more careful in grooming their transatlantic destinations. MCO, FLL, JFK , & BOS are pretty obvious, with the first two obvious for tourism, and the last two potentially at economy-level business travel and some tourism, particularly with BOS.

I think it was LAX rather than BOS but yeah.

Nashville sorely lacks another transatlantic flight to compete with BA.

Flew above my house. To Chicago.

I don’t think that’s a BCF? It doesn’t look like a converted freighter - the upper deck is shortened and normally BCF’s or BDSF’s don’t have the nose cargo door.
