I found this site the other day. A bunch of old photos of Roanoke Va. http://members.cox.net/oldroanoke/. Pretty cool. It always amazes me to see how much livelier downtowns were back before the interstates and other highways were built. Even small cities looked like they were just jumping with activity.

Wow, I've been through this thread for the first time and I must say those Detroit pictures brought a tear to my eye. It looked so grandious and vibrant back then! Such a loss!
