I drove by the other night and I think one thing that will be much more noticeable with the new glass is lights in the room. You see lights from each individual room and it was much more visible in the skyline at night. It looked really nice and the skyline looked much more vibrant.

Ok, so I figured out changing the skin is taking so long.  I should have realized this earlier. 

The facade is only covered in the glass, but there are actual walls behind much of it. So they have to remove the actual wall. There's a few feet of wall that leads to the where the corner is.

I also have it on good authority that a duck pin bowling facility (small) will be placed in the Amway down the line.

This update is certainly going to add new life to that building.

The new MDRD restaurant is worth the visit, particularly if you can get a reservation at sunset time. Holy wow! Food and drinks were unbelieavably good. Reminded me of Grove quality. Be prepared to drop some bank though. 

Also the "I Don't Care" lounge has been updated and it's pretty fun. Plenty of heaters out there, with some incredible views of the new RDV building. You can sign up for their emails to get the secret code.

I think they did interior repairs to the parking deck, not sure if there are any plans for the exterior?

They did interior and it's still a crumbling hunk of crap.
