when it's too bright out, the shots look more blue.  I've noticed that when I snap shots as well.  sometimes the lower light conditions are best for cameras that have a high light absorption.  know what I mean?  I can take shots when it's almost dark out yet the sky looks a deep blue (to the camera)...

RA's move in Monday, I understand -- maybe it's a week from Monday. There are still finishing touches on residential and instructional floors. Here's a peek inside and out.

According to WFTV Channel 9 Gnus, Union West now has it's certificate of occupancy, so the precious little learners will be able to move into their luxury high rise in time for classes to begin.

I ran through there yesterday morning. Counted 6 crews on lifts still in process of installing things like lighting, glass, trim, etc.

I drove through mid day today. Still 4 lift crews working on the exterior, but I saw a few people going in and out.

Be sure to report back on the facilities- pics if you get them.

It’s not done but it’s ready.  Did the tour last Tuesday - hardhats not required, some staff already set up in offices and as already said, RAs moved in.  Here are some pics I took:

Good to see college laundry  machines are still terrible. Makes me a little less bitter about how cool it would have been to live in a place like this vs my beautiful Libra dorm.

Some of use lived in Apollo for a year.  That dorm only had one washer and one dryer for the building, and the buildings were very run down in 2002.  I couldn't wait to move to Nike the following year.  That said those look like the identical washers from that era.

just drove by Union West.  They're putting a Dunkin Donuts in there.  Not sure if this has already been posted.  That makes 3 for downtown.
