The Downtown Code does have very specific standards for garage lining and acces, yet even those standards make it relatively easy for developers to ignore the street with regards to vehicle access. IMHO the code should be revised so that on a major or secondary street, lining a garage like this building or the Greystar building on Division Street should be the requirment, period. Allowing the garage to take up so much of the low level frontage (think like the garage on 805 Lea going up currently) is cheaper for the developer, but much worse for the end-user experience.

Maybe you need to run for Council or even better be on the Planning commission.

Now that there will be actual residents living along West End Ave is there any hope of altering the street itself to make it not quite so highway like?  I'm not saying it needs to be whittled down to one lane with an eighty foot sidewalk or anything, but as of right now there is very little in the way of concessions to pedestrians on that road.

Makes a huge impact on that block!

Is snow still on the ground there?  We never got anything measurable and the past four days have been beautiful and warm. Amazing how different the weather between Chat and Nash frequently is.

It’s still around in areas that tony get direct sunlight. I’d imagine it will all be gone after today.
