I have not even had a chance to look at this until now. I just let WW know. I’ve not even looked at 123 11th either. Probably nuggets in there too.

The 7 floors are a victim of the hotel market here but I wonder why they just didn’t put residential on top.

Story on Tempo brand from a while back.

Its not just the hotel market here...my dad who is a private investor in the travel industry says covid hit everywhere hard in the hotel business.

You can make out the “Tempo” logo on a few of the diagrams. Could be this brand: https://www.hilton.com/en/tempo/

You're probably right that it will be a Hilton Tempo.  I thought I remembered there being an article about them expanding into Nashville.

Nashville Post 1/27/2020: Hilton taps Nashville for new brand City among multiple U.S. markets slated for Tempo hotel

Plus here's the big clue...

That sidewalk does not need to be closed, nor does any other sidewalk downtown. That one is a dangerous one to close as people will end up walking in the street or j walking and will get hit by a car. Reach out to Freddie if you are in his district.

Builders and developers still need to be held accountable for being stupid.

I had this thought last week when I was walking. We have always harped on sidewalks being closed, but the one running down Commerce is double wide so it shocked me they had fully closed it. Ridiculous.

The points about infill are cool, yet there's something very disappointing to me about a lot in the center of downtown being developed at just 16 stories...

I get what you are saying. It is a PRIME location and would be amazing to see a skyscraper development going up on that location at 30 or 40 stories, for example.

But, also, buildings in the roughly 6-20 story range provide the "more common" multiple infill/density sized buildings of a skyline, that really can make a city look either super dense, or lacking density.

If there are a lot of them, it can be the difference between a skyline that has tons of gaps and parking lots, with several taller skyscrapers, or a skyline that looks even, deep, layered and "big."

In my opinion. :)
