1715 West End (twin 25 story towers, 200 room hotel, residential, retail, garage)

Recommended Posts

This was the project I eluded to on the West End thread.

My thoughts are this:

A 5% chance of happening. That's about all we can say based on his track record thus far.

That seems like an awfully narrow footprint for that large of a project.

What are the chances of this being the first piece of a long-term play of acquiring the car wash, Sprint store, the purple square parcels (all I remember the purple square being was Bill Haslam's campaign headquarters 8 years ago)?

Didn't he own the site of the Kennect building?  If he is, then that's the only thing I can think of he has proposed that has even come close to materializing, and obviously it took someone else to build it. BTW: What is the status of his proposed residential midrise on the perch above the I-440/I-40 junction?

He owned the site where Noshville was  and had planned a 2o something story residential tower there. He has since sold that to Vanderbilt. He is also the one that proposed the hotel that is still on the map at I 65 and OHB south of town and is the one doing Sky Nashville on Howard Hill that was supposed to start last month but no dirt has moved yet.

Treg Warner owns the car wash and just spent a boatload of money redoing it. On the other side is the old office building that was converted to Hotel Indigo now Aloft hotel. Thus to get this dine would be beyond his means IMO.

Yeah, I don't think anyone should take any proposal by him seriously until he actually follows through with one of his plans.

As highly unlikely as it is, I hope it happens. This is a good looking project and seems to make the most of that little bit of land. Maybe the developer/land banker guy will end up reading this thread, getting super defensive, and bankrolling this project out of sheer spite? ;)

Was the car wash in the footprint of that proposal. I know part of the Suntrust and BBT merger here is resulting in branches being closed.

You beat me to it Taylor. I thought William did a real estate notes on this when I sent the pemit to him a wek or so ago.

But we can probably kiss Ardivans grand two tower vision here good bye. Just like all of the other towers he has proposed. He was supposed to have started tree removal on Howard Hill for Sky Nashvillle back in December and that has not happened either.
