I really hope we play well in the tournament. I get nervous with analyst predicting us to go far. I hope the Auburn game was just them not having the energy/emotion after such a huge win over UK. Bad news is we have some teams in our bracket that can drain the 3s.

LOL... gave up a 25-point lead and go into OT?!  They always seem to get lazy and/or sloppy about midway through the second half. Garza woke up in the second half and Williams was in foul trouble most of the second half, but still!!

I had to stop watching as they were ruining my Sunday. Their passing and ball handling has gotten really sloppy.

I read that Admiral chose to be pulled because he thought Kyle would be better to have in the game. I wonder if he  was letting the pressure get to him and was afraid to have another incident like last year where he misses the game winner.

It's a good day when the vols lose.

You haven't had many good days then. Sure hope you aren't a Vandy fan or I would feel really bad for you.

Tough end but that doesn't take away from how great of a season it was. Really proud of this team! Expectations were very high, but going to the Sweet 16 still matches as one of the best seasons for the program. It just hurts that we lost the way we did. FTs killed us, so it is hard for me to blame the refs on such a horrible call at the end of regulation.

1980

Georgia fans always brag about their recruiting classes and never have any hardware to show for it. All those 5*s for nothin'.

Oh, and 96-50, and 2-16 in the conference in basketball... When was the last time Georgia was ever good at anything?

Yikes, I'm not surprised a non taxpayer would get so triggered and then flip flop between round ball and football.

What craphole did you crawl out of?

Sorry baw, I know the truth about Georgia athletics never being relevant is hard to handle. It has to be sad being both a Georgia fan and a Preds fan. That is a life of guaranteed disappointment.

What fits your definition of a craphole? As far as I'm concerned, Inglewood is pretty seedy. I take it you have a penchant for strip clubs, check-cashing joints, payday loan shops and run-down dive bars

I get that this is just trash talk and all, but when you have to resort to knocking the Preds and a Nashville neighborhood on a Nashville message board in order to do so...you're probably not winning.

I mean, I just stated the facts. The Preds have possibly the most bandwagon fanbase in pro sports and NE Nashville is one of the shadier areas of town. Is that bad?

First, those aren't facts.  "The ____ have possibly the most bandwagon fanbase in ___ sports" is a sentence that has been stated about nearly every sports team in sports history.   But even if you are right about the Preds' fanbase, I personally thought it was pretty awesome how the city (and a significant portion of the country) rallied around our team during the cup run a few years back.  Somehow the fact that all those people aren't diehards who don't miss a game over the 8 month season didn't diminish how much fun it was to see that scale of support and the energy around town.  And I'd bet some of those bandwagoneers have a healthier relationship with sports in general than those arguing about whose team is better on an internet message board that has nothing to do with either team, but I'm a sports nut too so who's to judge.

Of course, whether Inglewood is 'shady' or 'seedy' is also an opinion, and you're welcome to yours.  But that's not really the point.

It seems to me that none of this really has anything to do with your opinions about the Preds and Inglewood.   It's far more likely that you just wanted to take a shot at another poster who got under your skin, so you knocked the Preds and Inglewood because those are literally the only two pieces of information you have about the poster you're angry with.  It's no big deal - just human nature.  If someone says something negative about things you care about, it's natural to want to say negative stuff about the things they care about in return.

But again, when you're resorting to knocking a Nashville sports team and a Nashville neighborhood while posting on a Nashville message board, you're not exactly fighting from a position of strength and you're probably not going to win over the crowd.  That's all I was saying.

I couldn't care less about winning over anyone in this thread- my objective is to talk trash to dude who asked me nicely which craphole I come from  So I returned with an inquiry about where he (ostensibly) lives, which isn't much better  (if at all) than most of the crummy rural towns in Tennessee.

Some random UT information:

  1. UT got at least one win against Vandy in baseball over the weekend. Not a horrible conference start for them. Swept by #15 Auburn, won the series against #24 USCjr, and then 1 win in the series against #4 Vandy. The next two series will be tough and will probably show what this team is made of.
  2. Softball is 5-3 in conference play and ranked in the Top 5. Big series win against #4 Florida a few weeks ago. Beat a top 20 Arkansas team, and then finishes up a series that is tied with an unranked Mizzou today.
  3. Lady Vols will have a new basketball coach next year since Holly was finally fired. Her record was 172-67 in the seven seasons she was head coach. She guided the Lady Vols to 3 Elite Eight appearances. She started as an assistant with UT in 1985.

Warlick was total trash. She should have been gone 3 years ago. She ran Pat's legacy right into the ground, even with the best 5*s in the nation at her disposal. Good riddance.

LOL at USCjr.... To respond to that, they rebranded themselves "UofSC"

As far as coaching searches go, the Gumps got Nate Oats (Buffalo) and aTm trashed Kennedy. Vandy and UPig are still lookin'

Last but not least, LOLSU fans are going to have to kiss Wiretap Will Wade a sweet goodbye

Alright, there's all the trash talk I got.

Vol Baseball shuts out #2 thUGA two games in a row, winning the series in Knoxville. Let's go for the sweep!

I confess that I don't really watch hockey or care too much for the Predators, but I hope they can pull it out against Dallas. What has their deal been at Bridgestone Arena? I saw somewhere that they have dropped 5 of their last 6 playoff games in Bridgestone. Come on Preds, get it together! Nashville needs to bring home a professional title, and the Titans certainly aren't going to get the job done.
