the Square is spec as far as I know. if you are talking about the buildings at Tremont and S Tryon think they are spec too.

I am getting excited about this project now that it is under construction.  Lots of office balconies rooftop restaurant and ground floor restaurant space opening onto the new park.

#SouthendRising is apart of the ever growing #CharlotteRising.  Drive bys today and the office building will be closer to Camden Gallery apartments with the deck wrapped by apartments at S Tryon and West.

Right!! I hate when developers clear the land 100 percent and not leave anything in its natural form.

I am glad they saved that tree but they really need an arborist to help suggest things they can do to keep it alive as the root system of such a large tree goes way out.   They have disturbed other areas where the roots are so they need a tree doctor.  someone like Heartwood.  https://www.heartwoodtree.com/Services/Tree-Preservation

Seems like they pretty much saved the "drip field" area to me.

drive by the Square today.  I think this building will lease up quick as it is next to a park and has a rooftop restaurant.

The Square tower and the adjoining park and apartments around the garage is almost forgotten (since it is just at site prep now) but this is one of most visually appealing towers going up.  and walking distance to the very first Bojangles in America!

I am happy to report a CRANE SIGHTING at the Square office tower site.    Southend Rising!  Crane base in as seen from West Blvd.

Will be great to  see more micro retail units as part of this development too. Should be a nice mix.

I second that notion but I think the only Micro’s in town are at the Railyards!  The apartments with this project with be standard size and market rate.

I  thought the Square included some micro retail, I'll see if I can dig up where I read that.

Yes the entire  ground floor of the Railyard apartments is micro retail like 400-500 sq ft spaces.

What's sad is that the micro-units at Railyard are micro size with market rate prices.
