Honeywell HQ to Charlotte

I'm old enough to remember when companies took so much pride in themselves that they built headquarters that made a statement about them.  This building is so mediocre and non-descript it makes me Honeywell doesn't care enough to invest in a signature building because they intend to sell it in the near future and move to another location.  Like moving to a new city and renting an apartment in a beige box until you can find something more like your forever home.

Today's CBJ - "Renderings: Lincoln-Harris files plans for Signage on Honeywell HQ Building" by Ashley Fahey

Excerpt:  "Charlotte developer Lincoln Harris has filed a rezoning petition to allow signage on the future Honeywell headquarters tower at Legacy Union.  Plans filed indicate the developer seeks to add four parapet signs measuring 350 square feet each, totaling a maximum of 1,400 square feet.   Lincoln Harris is under construction on the 23-story, 330,000-square-foot tower — the third at Legacy Union, which Honeywell will anchor.  The rezoning petition would permit the signage and does not make other changes to the building."  ...  "Construction on the Honeywell-anchored building is expected to wrap up next summer, a Lincoln Harris spokeswoman said this week."
