They really simplified what little bits of interest the building had to save money (jogs in the facade, lights on the building exterior, size of balconies, etc). I appreciate the proximity of the main mass of the building in relation to Academy Street, but really dislike the parking situation. I'd like to see the City force them for a major sidewalk upgrade along Academy with large street trees to separate the sidewalk from the roadway. The developers need to give on something.

Which planned hotel across the street? I think you’re getting your sites mixed up. This site is located along Academy Street between QT and the McClaren.
