Oracle, 60 acres at River North, 1,200,000 sq. ft. of space, $1.2B Investment, 8,500 jobs

Oracle plans on opening a Nashville office that will employ up to 3,000 people and seeking office space of 800,000 square feet.  The location would most likely be somewhere in the central core (CBD, SoBro, Midtown or River North all seem to be options).  Glory be!   More forthcoming.

The jobs will primarily be inside sales, marketing, and sales support teams.

The article posits that they could take up more of the other space in Nashville Yards, or some in Gulch Union, or Broadwest.  Of course, River North could be an option, as well as One KVB, Highland Properties where the Tennessean used to be located, etc.  Let the speculating begin!

I pretty much have a good idea where they will go, but cant say. Not even at the meet. But to have another 800,000 SQ.FT. of space filled is a major step for Nashville.

If I were them I'd go to One KVB. That building is a show stopper if it ever gets built. And then if they need more space have a 2nd Tower around a block away at the Cummins Station future development.

Is this a dream? It seems almost everyday we are getting announcements like this.

The jobs announcements have to come in order to fill all the office space currently under construction or we would be in big trouble with a glut of unfilled office space. I am sure a lot of these deals have been in the works for some time.

I'm still in shock. 5000 Amazon, 3000 Oracle, 1000 AB...that's a lot of new high paying jobs in the core...hopefully more to come! (we really are moving toward realizing a beautiful vibrant urban environment)

If they want their operations centralized in one location downtown and are in need of 800,000 sq ft it seems they would need to go to either Highwoods, River North, or maybe have Nashville Yards change the scope of some of their parcels.

Fantastic news for Nashville no matter the location, however don't expect a one or two tower solution here....big tech traditionally prefers a campus so expect  a River North location or even a miracle that PCS Metals is ready to negotiate a move.

Even if PCS Metals moves I imagine that's a decade before anything is ready to be built over there.

A campus of 10 story buildings would do the trick there and would easily access the interstate/the Gulch/etc
