The logo on the brick facade looks like a fly on a wedding cake. Proportion is terrible. Otherwise, a striking building and great mix of materials.

Seriously though, it's like they gave the intern the responsibility for ordering the sign.   It's laughably small in proportion to the rest of the building

when this retail starts filling in this is going to be even better small sign facing south not withstanding.  That I understand is what the tenant wanted.

Lowes tower as reported above on Aug 18 is for sale and here is their marketing deck from JLL.

The retail portion is not included as Asana owns it and in additon to Reids and Allbirds already announced it says a fresh seafood market, high end fitness apparel retailer and med spa are coming too.  Page 18     That sounds like all or most of the retail space is leased.

The High End fitness apparel retailer is big... More retail in the area, with generate ... more retail. The All Birds announcement is a big one too. The Design District is going to turn into the Urban shopping district we always wanted in Charlotte.

Anyone hear rumors what the plans are?  Another office building, hotel, apartments?

My rumor mill was saying apartments but a hotel was planned at one time but the market is still bad for the biz hotels so not sure.

There is a stunning wave of high rise residential beginning to crest, I would imagine that is what happens here as well. And West Elm Hotel was the 3rd hotel envisioned on the site in the past 12 years.

One of the uses of this lot with gas pumps was a taxi company, thus the two way radio tower extant. I cannot recall the company but they had purple color cars. Office and dispatch at the Worthington Street entrance and repair and storage in the bays.
