What’s Up with Lowes in @southendclt !?!?

Over the last week, dozens of people have reached out asking “what’s going on at Lowe’s Design Center.” 

It started with crews applying white vinyl on the windows, and then last night they were projecting some sort of test map along the building’s 347 foot tall expanse.

Well our friends at @loweshomeimprovement finally told us what’s up. Be ready for an incredibly cool projection mapped experience cycling every 5 min. This will happen tonight only (though we hope it comes around more often). 

Enjoy the projection, we recommend @indacocharlotte @trolleybarnclt @watermanclt @thevintageclt @tremont.clt @vinmasterwine or any of your favorite spots southwest of the tower.

Drove to SouthEnd just to see the buildings facade lit up! Fun to see and low key really wishing they would keep it, really ties in the Jeni’s cream & shake shack & design center together as a focal point plaza.

Some European cities have been doing this for a few years now.  The few videos I've seen have been mostly on museums and the displays can get really cool and trippy.  I hope this gets a resoundingly positive response and we get more stuff like this in the future.

Montreal has at least one building close to Notre Dame that does it.  I hope they keep it.  And why did UNCC take the projected miner logo off the side of their building?  Why was that temporary?

Saks has been doing Christmas light/projector shows on their store across from 30 Rock for over a decade at least. Pretty sure Disney does this on steroids on their various castles and what not, too.

think just to advertise and celebrate their grand opening of their Tech center.  However I would have left it up for a few more months and done some holiday messaging but thats just me.

Today and the Brown Bag seafood is getting closer to opening.  This building looks good from the top to the bottom with all the retail at ground level.
