H&M will be taking up a significant amount of space on Woodward, and the former Cheli's building is getting another bar/restaurant:

H&M to open Downtown Detroit location this fall in 25K square-foot space

Retailer H&M has plans to open a 25,000 square-foot location in Downtown Detroit this fall, Bedrock Detroit confirmed Wednesday morning, March 6.

The company has signed a lease with Bedrock, and will open in a space “spanning three Albert Kahn-designed buildings” located on Woodward between John R. and Park Avenue. Specifically, the retail chain will occupy 1505, 1515 and 1529 Woodward Avenue in Detroit.

Tin Roof to replace Cheli’s Chili Bar in downtown Detroit

DETROIT – When Cheli’s Chili Bar

closed its doors in November 2018, many were left wondering what would replace the popular sports bar in downtown Detroit.

That question was answered on Wednesday.

Tin Roof, a southern-inspired hotspot for food and live music, will replace Cheli’s at its 47 East Adams Avenue location adjacent to Comerica Park and The District Detroit.
