I'm intrigued to see how this leasing goes. I hope they're able to bring in some interesting concepts and can successfully draw in the greater public.

Rant: STOP using photographs that are outdated in your marketing materials! Their photo of the West End still has the Fieldhouse under construction, circa 2006(?). Joe Biden would say it best: "Come on,  Man!"

There are 9 floors above the garage on the Academy end.

I keep thinking this has topped out due to the lag in seeing more floors.  The first 5 went up relatively quickly compared to what remains.   Has there been a pause in construction?

Original design? The footprint has been this large the whole time.

Yeah, I MUCH preferred the original design with the "fins." This is much more boxy with flat faces and looks like "everything else." Regardless of the designs though, I think the footprint is way too long. If the length of this footprint were necessary, I think it would have looked much better broken up in at least 2 building with slightly different heights. Ideally, I would have liked half the length of the footprint and something way less boxy.

I don't remember anything about any 'fins' or a dramatically different design, period. The Rhett Street portion is already topped out at 5 floors, the back portion will be 9 stories on top of the garage. So there is already a height differential.

Well some other people were referring to them as "fins " so...

Here is the original plan;  which I liked much better. I looks like, either the footprint was not as long, or the massing is just handled better; much less boxy and more creative than what we are getting.

I don't believe what is being built is different than what is portrayed in that rendering.  The angularity of the 'fins' is going to vary based on the vantage point of the artist/viewer.  If you are looking straight at the fin it will not appear as angular at all but if you are to the side of it, the angularity would appear.
