Just thinking today that in a couple of months when Camperdown and the new courthouse are topped out that there will be no major construction to follow downtown. County Square is not going to happen and I am afraid the McClaren is the same. Been quite a while since any major projects for downtown have been announced. I guess the downtown building boom is over. :dontknow:

Be patient. The McClaren just received financing so construction will began after the first of the years. County Square is going to happen.

Yeah, it does seem like a lot of the bigger projects planned for downtown are kind of stuck in neutral right now. No news on the senior housing development along Academy Street, condo development across from McBee Station, 600 East Washington Street condos, Gateway site, hotel along Main Street in the West End, or Beach Company development across from Fluor Field. Makes you wonder what is going on behind the scenes. Sometimes I wonder if the city is purposely withholding issuing permits to slow down gentrification due to concerns over affordable housing. Hmmm...

I see the old clinic building still has not been moved. Is that still the plan?

Absolutely. City Council gave final  approved to a lease agreement/ utility easement  at its last meeting. on 12/9 in regards to that.  Not sure if that means the disassemble will commence any day now or not. The State Archives and History  department has to be deeply involved also.   I would imagine they will do the grading on the unaffected part  first.
