I do know that railway is used, albeit sporadically. My hope is that the tracks become a trolley someday connecting Germantown to CBD.

I had mentioned that in an earlier post, but my hope was that they extended it into Metro Center as a streetcar line. That would do a lot to help with all of the apartment construction happening in Metro Center. The real problem is the shortsightedness of the last three administrations. They have a rail line that goes through Germantown, but it is still being used by CSX as a spur parking lot sometimes. I don't know how much it would cost to extend a rail along Great Circle Road and use one of the two under-utilized lanes as a streetcar lane, but that would probably be too easy.

This is why I'm so excited for Alcove. I think it'll be successful (though not in a crazy paradigm-shifting way), and likely to be replicated a couple more times in the downtown core over the next decade. It's good to have options - whether that's reliable & frequent transit, protected bike lanes, or a place to park the car that 95.8% of households in Nashville have.

It's huge.  The Neuhoff plant on its own is very large.  This is like 3-4 times as big as that, I think.
