Unfortunately, I do not believe these will happen. It makes for a pretty picture, but in reality these probably were not all that real to begin with. They project pretty far into the river and that impacts the active shipping lanes on the river. I have combed through the permit drawings for the whole development and while there is some legacy linework for the barges, nothing is documented for them and it also appears that there are site walls blocking the potential paths to them.

I can also say with some confidence that the circled area below will not look this way either..... just saying.....

It's amazing to finally see this project come to life.     I remember feeling a tinge of excitement about possibly redeveloping the former slaughterhouse back when Steve McRedmond acquired the property back in the 90's.    It's been a long time coming.

The lot to the bottom is owned by the same developer and will be block 5, however the block to the right is not owned by the developers as that is owned by CUMBERLAND RIVER DEVELOPMENT, INC. , 

That site is still owned by the Neuhoff family through Cumberland River Development. That was the entity that sold to New City, so they still have land left.

I have always thought it would be nice to run a spur line through Germantown and into Metro Center at least for a trolley. But that is too forward thinking for Metro as they cant seem to see past the hair on the mayors nose, whoever that is at any given moment.

Is there a plan to improve the roadways in/out of the Neuhoff development?  They will take a ton more traffic, and they appear to be narrow lanes.

Not that I know of. You really can’t improve or widen the streets through there. The only thing you could do to help the situation is ban parking on the streets, but that is liable to increase the speed everyone would drive .
