Thought this was really cool news to share. The "shed" structures will be fully mass timber structure and will be the first one built in Nashville. The structural frame will be Glulam columns and beams and the floors and roof plates with be Dowel Laminate Timber (DLT). The timber company doing the frame and plates is out of British Columbia.

Once those frames and floors go up, I would expect to see those three "sheds" to have there frame and floor plates completed in a matter of weeks rather than months!

It appears the balconies will still be steel from this image, and the timber will all be on the interior portions of the building.

Do you know if timber has height limitations? IE timber is only structurally sound for up to 7 stories etc.

I’m still surprised they are going with the office building first. Do they have a tenant?

The only one I'm aware of is Live Nation Entertainment Inc., which has signed a 40k sf lease, occupying one of the three buildings.
