Wofford’s Mike Young

Recommended Posts

Sad news for SC if reports are correct.  Mike Young will be Va Tech’s new basketball coach.  Coach Young developed a model athletic program in a small well funded high academic school.  These kids represented the state well in addition to working through a tough academic environment.  A lot of that can be attributed to a Coach Young.  For the state,  hope the reports are not correct, but it looks like he is leaving.

He's definitely on his way to the Hokies.

Any idea on a new Wofford Coach?  Should be a desirable job, great school, great history and the new basketball arena is one of the best in SC.  While not large like the CLA, this facility is built with a ton of details that make it special.

Good for him. He’s got a shot of coaching in THE league of college hoops and amongst the best competition out there. Hopefully he’s able to recruit and excel.

He is a great coach.  But, he will definitely be challenged competing in that top heavy league.

I'm closing this thread because it is not related to urban development in South Carolina.
