That as the whole issue. SUN was being too greedy and unreasonable. They were too demanding and bad-mouthing CREA at every turn. CREA was fed up with it from my understanding, so they get nothing. The councilman was at fault IMO because he let it happen and encouraged this. That is why he was not informed of the change. I think CREA was probably fed up with him as well.

The folks in that district know this has given their council person a big black eye to his reputation for taking such a hard stance and putting up with SUN.

Another issue is that the folks from SUN may now turn their attention to the Lincoln Tech campus and try to sabotage that one as well. The neighbors need to stand up to this group and put their collective feet down.

I don't think it was as much of a screw you as it was as a we are just tired of dealing with the BS. Nashville needs affordable housing and if developers have to deal with crap like this, it will be less likely developers will want to participate in CBA's and just build to what they can by property rights. That is what happens when you push the envelope too far. This is what I said when the whole process first started, and everyone said CBS'a were going to happen everywhere. Developers still hold all of the cards if they own the property. They will find a way to make money off of a project regardless of what the neighborhood wants or does not want.

Sean needs to check the zoning and see what they can do by right and that is pretty much what was there before I think. He is going to be between a rock and a hard place at the council meeting not supporting either one.

Sounds like Sean may be in trouble with his constituents. I think he will be getting a lot of angry emails and phone calls this weekend.

Sean Parker just posted this update from CREA (apologies if hard to read):

Can you help boil down what this means to those of us who aren't close to these conversations?  Does this signal any concession from a side or any significant breakthrough to support the original/revised plan?

@Bos2Nash could probably answer your question better than me.
