Travel observations and new developments of other cities and countries

The before and after does not really make sense to me. As usual the artist rendition has everything out of context showing buildings that are currently there with the new building that are supposed to be built. I am unsure what the new is supposed to be. I think the orientation is off unless they are planning on tearing down the Sam Nunn & Richard B Russell Federal Buildings that are showing in the 1st picture.

What is the timeline on the finished buildout on all of this?  That is not mentioned in the article.

Charlotte needs a man made lake or something. Some water.

We are like Atlanta we have a major river just west of the city in our case the Catawba, in Atlanta's case the Chattahoochee.  We also have a 32,500 acre lake just 15 miles to the north the largest lake in NC Lake Norman.

Hello Nashville.   From your friend Charlotte.

Today.  Uptown which is inside the freeway loop has the 40 story Duke Energy Plaza under way and 2 hotels.   One shown next to that bright blue metal screening.  the cranes in the foreground are both apartment towers.

Nice!  Was just there a few weekends ago for a golf trip.  Got a chance to visit a couple nightlife spots including a rooftop bar downtown!  Was a good time.
