Wanted to share this shot of the Chi skyline I got Saturday night while out getting some drinks at The Cabana Club rooftop.  Apologies for the relatively small low quality photo.  My phone is seven years old (hey, I like having no payments!  lol)  But I still liked the overall composition of it, and thought y'all might enjoy.  If you click on it you'll get a larger version of it.

I totally missed this particular project. They say Rittenhouse, and I was super confused by the renderings, let alone by what they'd have to tear down to build it anywhere near Rittenhouse Square, but it's actually at South Broad and Lombard. Looks like they'll be removing a perpetually overgrown and urine filled parking lot and a run-down public health center. Huge improvement for that block.

I'll do you better than renderings. Here is the progress of this building from last November. Starchitect Frank Gehry is the designer.

Welcome to the world of Frank Gehry folks. He is known for his wonky architectural style that even required his team to develop their own design software (or so I am told). 

He also design the Walt Disney Concert Hall right across the street from this building.

Photos of Charlotte. I really like it here and I went on the tour that urban planet and other local organizations organized. The area we were at was essentially like east Nashville but with light rail. As a city Charlotte largely has its act together.
