Glad to see continued investments in the surrounding cities, like Salisbury.  Great addition to the historic downtown area and hopefully is able to thrive once post-covid business comes back to full swing!

It is great to see that there is a concerted effort to protect farmland, especially farms that are vital to the local restaurants and grocery stores throughout the region.  This is more so in rapidly developing counties like Cabarrus.

Yes, it's good to spare land from urban sprawl, but it's still much better to conserve natural land and promote wildlands, which, there isn't hardly any left in the Piedmont anyway.

Came across this FB page of Kannapolis Retail Ventures and they have a listing of new businesses opening up in the revitalized downtown of Kannapolis.  The newest addition will be a farm to table restaurant by the name of Chophouse 101.  There are other establishments that have recently opened as well.  Glad to see small business start to make a comeback as we slowly make our way into the post COVID-19 era!

If only it WERE "post Covid".   Don't let your guard down yet.

Hopefully viable and exciting opportunities will arise concerning future uses of the former Barber-Scotia College campus!

Small renovation project in downtown Salisbury will bring both retail and residential to the historic area.  Love to see these types of reuse of old buildings.  Hopefully when the pandemic eases up, more of these projects will be occurring in not only Salisbury, but other surrounding cities and towns.
