Downtown Hotels

Thought I would start a thread to help keep track of all the hotels existing, underway, and newly announced for DT.  Maybe we could update the status of underconstruction/proposed/rumored etc here to make it easier to keep track. Also curious to think about the impact all these are having downtown. Mostly good, but also things like traffic, impact on hotels outside downtown, etc.

Here is a list of all DT hotels currently in existance:  https://hotelguides.com/south-carolina/greenville-sc-downtown-hotels.html

1. Holiday Inn Express    80 rooms

2. Home 2 Suites   117 rooms

Announced:

To update,  the AC is now open and the Bohemian will soon be finished.  I think there have been a few more proposed; The Kimpton comes to mind. Is the Perimeter still happening or did it get canceled/ postponed by COVID?

The Kimpton is getting built on the same site the Perimeter condos were going to get built on.

Hyatt is upgrading both of their properties downtown from category 2 to category 3 effective March 28th. This is due to downtown becoming more of a tourist destination. You can read more here:
