Photos of the skyline today some downtown some uptown.  Gorgeous day after a tornado last night.   More photos of some other areas too coming soon.   Dallas Urbanplanet deserves to be more active with a lot going on in this the 4th largest metro area in the USA.

The gold buildings towards the end of this photo stream were in the opening scenes of the Dallas tv show and I think home of Ewing Oil LOL.

Okay not in Dallas proper but in the town of Parker outside Plano.  But world famous and this is Dallas to many around the world.

Dallas Opening and Closing Theme 1978 - 1991 (HD Surround) - YouTube   that skyline is very old LOL

The home is available for tour out at Southfork Ranch and even after all these years tourists still come from all over the world.

Downtown from various angles from uptown, downtown on the 33rd floor and from Deep Ellum and from afar.   Various newer and older buildings downtown love the older buildings restored and the AT&T plaza area.

Went by the office in Las Colinas.  Lot more mixed uses now up there more apartments, hotels and retail instead of just all office in the central area.  Now  surrounded by lots of condos, apartments, and single family homes.  Lots for land to develop with further high rises and so forth.  Nice addition is the Toyota  Music Factory developed by a Charlotte based developer next to the Irving Convention center.  Now that Las Colinas is linked by DART to the airport and downtown it should continue to evolve as  mini-city.

Downtown Fort Worth looks great.  Clean and busy on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon. Downtown and Sundance Square.  Today.  This downtown seems more alive than downtown Dallas.  Lots of new residential in older buildings.  Great retail and restaurants.
