Went by the office in Las Colinas.  Lot more mixed uses now up there more apartments, hotels and retail instead of just all office in the central area.  Now  surrounded by lots of condos, apartments, and single family homes.  Lots for land to develop with further high rises and so forth.  Nice addition is the Toyota  Music Factory developed by a Charlotte based developer next to the Irving Convention center.  Now that Las Colinas is linked by DART to the airport and downtown it should continue to evolve as  mini-city.

NorthPark Center is considered by some an art museum with stores in it.  It is truly a beautiful shopping place with its original art work throughout.  And it one of the few privately owned malls not owned by a huge company like Simon or others.   Sales are in excess of $1 Billion per year one of the top performing malls in the country.  Photos from inside today.   This fall decor is simple but great.

Went out and drove through Cypress Waters north Irving yesterday.  Another huge master planned business community attracting big name companies and hundreds and hundreds of apartments.   7-11 has their headquarters out there and also saw Conference USA.

More photos of Las Colinas which has as much office space as downtown Dallas.  It is really an mini city in its own right now.  Photos from yesterday. The One Williams Square building is the tallest building in the Metroplex outside of downtown Dallas and Fort Worth.

Dallas Galleria area and this mall is holding it own but does have a higher vacancy than NorthPark.    Photos from Galleria area. Dallas like many cities needs a few less malls today. However with office towers, a hotel connected to this one it should be okay.  The recent F3 tornado's path was just south of this area.  Their Christmas tree in the mall is the best and tallest in Dallas.

Grandscape development home of the mega store Nebraska Furniture Mart and huge mixed used project with retail, high rise apartment tower, movie theater, indoor karting, restaurants galore and huge Scheels sports store.  This is off Hwy 121 in the Legacy area of Plano in the town of The Colony.   Oh yeah the NFM store is over 1,800,000 sq ft including warehousing and retail space.   Plus there is a Ferris wheel.

The huge Toyota North American HQ in Plano in the Legacy West area.  Full of corporate offices like HQ of Frito Lay, Toyota major offices of USAA, Fedex, NTT etc.
