Lot more mixed uses now up there more apartments, hotels and retail instead of just all office in the central area. Now surrounded by lots of condos, apartments, and single family homes. Lots for land to develop with further high rises and so forth. Nice addition is the Toyota Music Factory developed by a Charlotte based developer next to the Irving Convention center. It is truly a beautiful shopping place with its original art work throughout. And it one of the few privately owned malls not owned by a huge company like Simon or others. Sales are in excess of $1 Billion per year one of the top performing malls in the country. Photos from inside today. It is really an mini city in its own right now. Photos from yesterday. Photos from Galleria area. Dallas like many cities needs a few less malls today. However with office towers, a hotel connected to this one it should be okay. This is off Hwy 121 in the Legacy area of Plano in the town of The Colony. Oh yeah the NFM store is over 1,800,000 sq ft including warehousing and retail space. Plus there is a Ferris wheel.
