I guess it wouldn't be the first time a major Tony G project was stifled by an economic downturn.

Yeah...with China on the verge with this virus...and now a major spread in S. Korea, Italy, Iran, etc...it's going to be very difficult for the whole world not to be hit with an economic slowdown.

Not even going to comment on this here as we would get off on a big tangent and if someone wants to start a thread then feel free, but this is some worrisome stuff.....

Oh that's gonna be a cluster-f of the royal order when construction starts! :shok:

You’re not kidding.    McLemore, the street between the Y and this project, is already congested because Rosa Parks exit traffic feeds into it exactly at Tony’s property line.  Today, Piedmont had one lane of McLemore blocked with the gas line excavation, and traffic was a total cluster with a traffic cop allowing one lane at a time, plus trying to accommodate people  entering and leaving the Y garage.       The Y is going to be severely restricted for pedestrian and vehicle access for the next 2 years

I don't make it over here to the Nashville part of the forum very often, but damn.  I'm jealous.  We've got some nice stuff going up in Charlotte, but this puts pretty much everything here to shame.  34 stories and NO PARKING, and it's also gorgeous, and it's also on a really unique lot.  Y'all are really fortunate that you have a developer who can and will think outside of the box, wish our apartment buildings were half as nice as this.

We kinda have to hold our breath with Mr. Giarrantana.  He's built a lot of towers in Nashville...but his initial renders are normally way more unique than his final product after value engineering.  Keeping our fingers crossed that this one stays like it is.
