23-Story East West tower

Recommended Posts

I do not have any news. I am only speaking of what I have read from the news coming out of JP Morgan. I only hope that there are things that I do not know. I hope that JP Morgan has a much larger presence in Charlotte in the near future that will make them want to relocate many more jobs here other than Texas,Ohio or Florida. I always pull for Charlotte.

speaking of this new tower, when can we expect to see a rendering of some sort.  Obviously they know the size and number of floors for it so the architect must have an idea.  Plus you will need that to market it even if it is  tweaked.

Instead of the rumored twin buildings in two stages, why not just make the 23 proposal 40 stories since there's not a height limit?

why stop at 40  when you could go 60 or 70, whats another 30 floors?  other than money

Does it cost more to build one 46 story building or two 23 story buildings?

This explains the soil sampling from a few months back.  I hope this building has signature architecture.  The site is too good not to be a little creative and adopting some of the existing SE feel into the building.

This will be a tight space, parking for Tupelo will be really interesting in the near future.

How is Fuel Pizza still in business there?

It comes in handy around 1-2am on the weekends.  I'm cool with it, need more places that stay open for that crowd.

Definitely costs a lot more.  Also - Financing too.  1 - 23 Story Building can be constructed and leased much faster allowing the Developer maximum flexibility to flesh out the market and pause/reset as is needed.  Seems like this cycle is coming to a close.  I just hope they break ground within the next 6 months.  If so, this is much more likely to get built then if the developer breaks ground around Nov/Dec 2020 or later.  Just too much financial market uncertainty by then.  Things are currently slowing down

Saw this on Instagram. Kind of gives you an idea of what the area could look like. So surprised to see this type of development right here- but it was bound to happen eventually.

I'm pretty surprised.  So many ~20 story buildings having momentum so soon is not what I expected this soon.  I wonder if this will ever happen along the BLE....

That and the Rite Aid/Seafood restaurant/asian place will all soon be gobbled up and rebuilt. Recent Zoing changes will help and logical progression from nearby growth. I think the property around there is selling for like 12m an acre.
