Tornado Damage from March 3rd storm

Major tornado passed thru Dickson, Cheatham, Davidson, and Wilson Counties from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM.  Significant damage via winds of 150 mph, hail up to baseball size, and flash flooding. Neighborhoods like Bordeaux, North Nashville, Buena Visa, Germantown, Cleveland Park, 5 Points, Donelson, Hermitage, and Mt. Juliet hit hard.  Let's utilize this thread to communicate amongst forum members, as well as to post reports and display photos of damage.

It hurts me to see this happen. I was just in east nashville over winter break to see a friend. I have absolutely no idea if they are alright or not because they are not responding to my texts, however they didn't live in the 'tornado zone' apparently which is encouraging.

 

I saw on the news here in New York City that the tornado was said to have hit hermitage, donelson, the  nations, germantown and east nashville. Damage is in those areas so be careful driving around them.

Looks as if the 5 Points area was hit very hard. Remember we have a number of posters on the forum that live in this area. 

Germantown Vista was hit, Burger Up looks to be gone. Severe damage along Mc Ferrin and Main.

The roof of the Farmers Market was hit but it is serving as a shelter.

We will know a lot more with daylight.

This is terrible, praying for everyone affected. If any city knows how to band together to take care of their own, it's Nashville.

I am just worried about John Mathison and his wife that live in 5th & Main. To those of you that have been on here for a while he posted as doormanpoet and many other names but no longer post but still comes to the meets. I have texted him but have not heard from him. He lives on the top floor of 5th and Main.

Safe here.   Live south of I40 in Mt Juliet.   Phone alerts woke us up and turned on the news and went to our safe room..........heard the sirens loud and clear.

Looking at pictures and man Germantown and Five Points got rocked. One of the large apartment buildings in Germantown looks really bad.

All fine with me in 12 South neighborhood.  Storm sirens going pretty solid from 12:30 to 2:30 AM. No damage around here.  If anyone needs help with anything, let me know.

Just saw a map of the three tornados that have hit Nashville from the 20's, 90s, and now this one and they all intersect in Five Points. I am still trying to find the image that was on channel 5 from the NWS.

 

If anyone finds it please post.
