Triangle Ring Cities Thread

Quick drive through downtown Garner today.  Really not a big fan of the new rec center, it could have been a game changer for downtown, but I guess a '60s-inspired brutalist structure with a ton of surface parking is as good as it's gonna get....

Also looks like they are planning on building a museum where the caboose is.  I think this has tentatively been in the plans for a long time, but first time I've seen a sign posted about it.

drove through downtown Apex since my cousin may move here next year.   Great little downtown and they are really trying to help and promote their businesses too and great they are blocking off the parking lane for additional seating for the restaurants.  Today.   and I check my elevation app and it is over 500 feet much higher than downtown Raleigh.  Apex the Peak of Good living!

Food and drinks were very good, service was alright (but it was a slow Tuesday afternoon so they may not have had their A-team scheduled that day).  I'll probably go back eventually, but the girl I was with has been wanting to try some other restaurants lol.

Sorry for the photo overload, but I forgot to post these.  Drove through Wake Forest this past weekend for the first time.  Reminds me a little bit of Davidson with several nice downtown blocks next to a historic campus.
