Albion Residential has finalized the purchase of the1.3 acre site for $15.5 million from Tim Reynolds.  He purchased the site 2 years ago for $8.9 million.  

Groundbreaking is set for beginning of 2021.  Clark Construction will be the builder.

That's the one for the Haven project next door (11 stories).  I had asked about that earlier today, which is the only reason I know.

Full-scale work should start on the Albion tower by February of 2021, as multiple permits have been applied-for.  The building is the same height, but the 29-39K office space in original concept has been taken out of the quotient. Total price tag will be $140 million. New crisp renderings below.

Aside from creating a really nice design, they've done a great job of hiding the parking area. It took me a while to realize the building includes more than 300 parking spaces.

Love the design of the building. Hate the driveway between the building and Division street. This should honestly front Division and put the driveway/loading to the back/side.

Reminds me of a lot of buildings that went up in northern Germany and Netherlands during the 1970s-80s. Not a slam against this building, as I really like that style.

Not to sound like a broken record, but I really do adore this design.  Between this guy, the 908 Division building, the double-hotel project, and Aspire, this area will likely look really great and totally transformed. Hopefully Haven doesn't disrupt that too much.

I expect that Haven will look like the garage that was referred to above as not apparent in the rendering.  LOL... but the Haven renderings look really bad. 

Am I the only here who sees such similarity between the footprint of this one and the Buckingham buildings at 21st/Broadway?

Just drove by the site and it is now cleared of construction equipment from Haven and no one is parking there except one car. Looks as if it will be starting any day now.

I think they’re about to pull their grading permit. I know they pulled the tree removal permit recently.
