Looking at some of the documentation associated with the permit, the lowest footing is approximately 40'-0" below the lowest elevation on site. I would expect anywhere from a 35 to 50 foot hole on the site.

Was poking around on Tony's website, and the name chosen for this building seems to be "Prime."

Looking west from 4th Avenue at the future Church Street buildings...includes the 'Prime',  the 'Alcove', '1001 Church', 'Amazon Phase1',  and the Gibson (1111 Church). I think the original photo came from a frequent poster on this site, but I don't have a record of who it was.

Ok…thanks.   I saw them move it over there around 8:30 am yesterday, but couldn’t tell exactly what it was.  Now we know it’s because they’re doing the demo on 900…right?

The fact that there is a graveled road going into the lot suggests that it might be used as the laydown lot for 900 - at least temporarily

I was thinking they would want to get 801 built first since it will have a garage…that way they would have parking for anyone at 900 that needed some.

801 Church will be named "PRIME." Will now feature 358 units instead of 351.

I noticed while driving by that the original chain link fencing has been removed from part of the site. I’d imagine we’ll see construction fencing soon.

Longtime Nashville developer Tony Giarratana has secured the land to build his latest project on Church Street.

Giarratana closed on the one-third acre at 801 Church St. for $12 million this morning, he told the Nashville Business Journal in an exclusive interview. He’d been under contract to buy the parcel for about a year. Site work for a 38-story, 350-unit apartment tower will begin in a matter of days, he said.

Giarratana said he’s eyeing two other tower developments, both in the downtown area. The first would hold condos, and the second would house both apartments and condos, he said. He already owns the land for the first, and will start the Metro design approval process next month. He’s still trying to secure the second site, he said.

If it's Church Street Park, I hope he acquires the second site sooner rather than later.

While I would love two additional towers in downtown, if he's looking for them to be in the 25 - 40 story range, I'd really prefer him to build one super tower and break into the 50+ story realm.   Just go ahead and build Signature Tower  at 65 stories plus a crown somewhere in downtown. 

Please?  Pretty Please?  With a Crown on Top?
