Yes that is some affordable apartments between Nations Ford and Arrowood.  I think NPR or NRP is building them.

Yes, Forest Park Family Apartments, by NRP Group LLC. 16.56 acres, sold for $2.075m in November 2021.

New apartment complex coming to Nations Crossing Road closer to Woodlawn LYNX station than the Scaleybark.

Here is the new for sale townhomes along Woodlawn Road next to the Days Inn on the site of the old Woodlawn Green office park (one of Charlotte's first office parks now all gone)

Residential projects are going up in parts and areas of this city I would have never dream in years past.

This hotel has been rebranded to 315 LoSo Hotel on Woodlawn!  It was a Best Western I thought or something else but it is under new management and ownership it seems.  Look how they market their LoSo location.    I have not been down this stretch of Woodlawn in a while.

They did a great job strategically using stock photagraphy to mislead the poor visitors that book this place LOL. You'd think it is on Camden and a boutique resort versus a still old and rundown exterior of 2 star hotel with a Burger King in the parking lot.

Wrong hotel. You're thinking the Best Western. The hotel in those images is the old Marriott Bonvoy/The Morgan. It's behind the shopping center that has the Fedex Store (aka the old Harpers). Still not the fanciest area but not the one with BK outside but you can walk to two gay bars, two banks, and the KFC.

Ah got it! Makes sense. That explains having a pool in the photos as I didn't think the Best Western had one.

As a Charlotte native this area truly astounds me that so much residential is going in this area.  Former home of the Woodlawn Green 1970s office park and a Howard Johnsons motel( I just noticed that the motel is still there)   this area south of Woodlawn now has new apartments, for sale townhomes fronting Woodlawn Road and now these rental townhomes going up on Nations Crossing Road.  I would have never guessed people would be living in this area.  Southend surprises me a lot less as it was between 2 residential areas that was industrial.  But here you go.  Photos today.  and you can walk to the Woodlawn LYNX station.   Last photo is the for sale townhomes with basement garages facing Woodlawn.
