Complete with a carousel house, it is the largest carousel in North Carolina and one of the largest in the United States. It was originally planned for Downtown Greensboro on property next to the Greensboro Children's Museum, but the rotary club changed plans and built it at the Greensboro Science Center which has quickly become a statewide attraction with the science museum, OminMax, zoo and aquarium.
