SydneyCarton
Grubb Properties buys former bank property in downtown Chapel Hill - Triangle Business Journal (bizjournals.com) It appear that virtually all of Grubb's top executives went to UNC, so I guess they have a special fondness for Chapel Hill. KJHburg
Yes I stopped in Blue Heaven today LOL at the new Wegmans there. Nice and couple of shots of the office buildings on the east side of town. I forget the new name of the Blue Cross Blue Shield building now that is available for lease. @SydneyCarton I expected you to roll out the red carpet for my visit or is that too much like NC State.

SydneyCarton
I can't open this. I don't know where there is 128 acres in Chapel Hill. Maybe by Eubanks Rd. Its planned for the area across from Southern Village. At least right now it is slated to be 55+ and 'workforce' housing. Mainly multi-family structures, townhomes/ condos. Also plans for quite a bit of green/ preserved space.

SydneyCarton
Chapel Hill NIMBYS are going wild in opposition to the Aura. If they lived in a place with as much development as “C Word,” I think that they’d have serious nervous breakdowns. I received this in the mail yesterday. 1

Those are pretty outdated buildings.

SydneyCarton
For the most part, Chapel Hill’s downtown has limited and lame retail. Considering that there are a lot of wealthy people in Chapel Hill, I’m surprised that the retail there is not more upscale. This would help attract employers to downtown that are leaving the town and setting up shop in Durham or Wake counties. This intersection is too large, central and important not to have a major development here. I’ve lived in Chapel Hill for many years and this intersection has always been underutilized. Can’t have four corners made up of a tree farm, small church, empty municipal property, and an abandoned airport forever. And it’s been forever. Time for Chapel Hill to get back in the game.
